The Denver Broncos have received promising updates regarding the injuries to key players Pat Surtain II and Pat Bryant. According to sources, both players underwent MRIs that indicated they avoided the worst-case scenarios after sustaining injuries in a recent game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Pat Surtain II, the team’s star cornerback and 2024 Defensive Player of the Year, suffered a noncontact ankle injury during the game. Initially, the situation looked concerning as he was seen on the ground clutching his right foot and ankle, and subsequently did not return to play in the second half after being assisted off the field by team staff.

However, the outlook for Surtain appears optimistic as the injury is thought to be short-term, with him being described as “week-to-week.” It’s estimated that the cornerback might miss about two weeks, providing a relatively quick return to play under the circumstances.

On the offensive side, wide receiver Pat Bryant also experienced an ankle sprain in the same game, resulting in him being carted off the field. Although he is expected to be out for a few weeks, it is a relief that the injury is not more severe. Bryant has been a significant player for the Broncos this season, already accumulating 133 receiving yards and scoring a touchdown.

The Broncos are set to face the winless Los Angeles Chargers in their next matchup, a game where the absence of Surtain and Bryant could be felt. However, the prognosis received gives the team and fans hope for their swift recovery and return to the field.
